Messy Monsters Full Day Care Nursery at Gilfach Goch Community Association (GGCA) is not only a warm and nurturing early years setting – it is also a fully CIW registered childcare provider, regulated and monitored by the Care Inspectorate Wales, giving families complete peace of mind that high standards of care, safety and learning are consistently maintained.

Our most recent inspection outcomes reflect our commitment to excellence, with current ratings assessed as “Good” across all areas. This includes the quality of care, learning experiences, leadership and management, and safeguarding practices. These outcomes are not just inspection results – they reflect the everyday dedication of a team who genuinely care about every child’s wellbeing and development.

A safe, qualified and trusted team

At Messy Monsters, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do.

  • All staff are fully trained in safeguarding children, ensuring every child is protected, supported and cared for appropriately at all times

  • Every member of our team holds an enhanced DBS check, meaning they have been thoroughly vetted to work with children

  • Staff are regularly trained and updated in first aid, food hygiene, child protection, and early years best practice

  • Our environment is carefully monitored and risk-assessed to ensure it remains safe, secure and welcoming every day

Parents can feel confident knowing their children are cared for by a professional, qualified and highly attentive team who take their responsibilities extremely seriously.

What this means for your child

These standards translate into real, everyday reassurance for families:

  • A consistently safe and secure environment where children can explore freely

  • High-quality early years teaching delivered by trained practitioners who understand child development

  • Strong safeguarding systems in place so every child is protected and supported

  • A setting that is regularly inspected and held to account by national regulators

  • A culture of care, consistency and trust that children quickly recognise and respond to

Continuing to build confident, happy children

Within our trusted, safe and well-regulated environment, children continue to flourish through play, exploration and guided learning. Whether they are painting, building, singing or engaging in messy play, every experience is designed to support development while keeping happiness and wellbeing at the centre.
