Building on the foundations laid in early years provision, after-school clubs, and playschemes, our Youth Club continues the journey of nurturing confidence, connection, and opportunity for young people. GGCA recognises that the young people we work with are at a vital stage of growth—where identity is shaped, friendships deepen, and futures begin to take form.

Our aim is to provide a space that not only supports the development of young people but actively inspires it.

Why It Matters

Youth clubs play a vital role in supporting emotional wellbeing, reducing isolation, and promoting positive life choices. Our Youth Club provides a trusted environment where young people feel:

  • Safe

  • Respected

  • Included

  • Heard

  • Supported

We are committed to helping young people develop confidence, resilience, and skills that extend far beyond the club itself.

About the Youth Club

GGCA Youth Provision is shaped by the needs and interests of young people and is firmly rooted in a youth-led approach. It is a welcoming, inclusive, and safe space where young people are valued, respected, and heard.

Rooted in the values and approach of GGCA and the wider community, our youth sessions bring young people together through:

  • Shared projects

  • Skills development

  • Sport and physical activity

  • Creativity and expressive arts

  • Health and wellbeing initiatives

  • Access to information, guidance, and support

These opportunities help young people build confidence, develop new skills, and make positive connections.

Voices of Our Young People

The most powerful reflection of our Youth Club comes from those who attend:

“It’s the only place I feel like I can just be myself without being judged.” Girl age 13

“I help look after my sister a lot because she has special needs so youth club gives me a break.” Girl age 16

“I’ve made loads of new friends here. It actually feels like somewhere I belong.” Boy age 14

“The staff listen to us and actually care about what we want to do.” Boy age 15

“I look forward to coming every week—it gets me out of the house and doing something positive.” Boy age 12

A Safe Space to Belong and Grow

The Youth Club is open to all young people aged 11 and above. It offers a dynamic programme of activities designed to encourage participation, creativity, and positive relationships.

More than just a place to spend time, it is a safe, warm, and supportive environment where young people can relax, be themselves, and build lasting friendships.

Whether engaging in activities, sharing interests, or simply spending time with peers, young people are encouraged to shape their own experience in a space built on trust, respect, and positive relationships.
